Well. Another day in our lives. How are we going to make the most of it.

We could go. Well its was really hard to get up this morning because it was dark and rainy. The weather this time of year is so bad. Oh and the Summer was rubbish to.

Dog didn't get a walk as it was raining. Hard to get the kids up to. Gives me another job taking them to school. etc etc.

We can think all these and more or we can say it out loud. When we do either we are adding to the doom and gloom. If we are luck enough to find someone to listen we can say it again. This may even add more insult to injury as the listener then becomes involved with your doom and gloom and adds some of theirs to.

What's going on here? Why does this happen and what does it do to us?

We can start doing something else that will help. Even if it seem false and/or fake. If you are finding hard to shake of the doom and gloom or you have found that you are grumbling. any other words in or outside your head that are not getting you anywhere you may like to try this.

Decide how you are going to start the day. Practice what you are going to say. Even if it feel strange. I found this very very helpful when my children were young. When I was up most of the night for one reason or another. I decided that I had to start the day in a happy mood as it helped with the reaction of me and the babies. I used to up that smile on my face (Even if it was fake) Go into their rooms and say "Good Morning ******. How are you this wonderful morning".

This may seem strange as I had been up most of the night feeling a little frayed round the edges. However it helps.

So your mission if you are willing to accept. If you are finding it hard to feel good with the world and yourself find something that you would like to say to you in the morning. Ie "what a great day" or "Im going to have an amazing day today" or something like this. Remember to do this with a Smile on your face. May seem strange but why not. It will help and its free.

Go for it. Have fun with it. Let me know how you are getting on. theresa@icanachieve.co.uk. Love to hear from you.

The importance of Positive Thought

  • What happens when we think bad about ourselves ?
  • What happens when we tell ourselves that we are rubbish, Useless or not worth anything ?
  • What happens to our self esteem, self worth, self belief and confidence ?

It similar to the connection to the last thing that we hear. If we tell a young child not to do something, we put the information in the child head. Don't run. The thing that the child hears in Run so what does it do. You got it, It runs.

If we tell any one over and over again things like "You are rubbish" etc they will start to believe it. It goes for us to. Over the years we have the choice to say great things to ourselves or we can tell us bad things. If we say great things it boost us up, however the opposite applies.

What makes us say bad things even if we believe it is true. Why do we believe it is to? Have we been told by others that we a rubbish etc? What gives others the right to say such things?

Can we stop talking bad to ourselves? "Yes" The first thing to do it to start to listen to our thoughts. Notice what we say to ourselves.

So if you find yourself talking to ourselves in a way that is not positive. Stop. Tell yourself something fantastic. Even if it feel werid or not true. Who cares if it helps us! Then smile and pat you on the back. Because you are on the first run of the ladder into "The importance of Positive Thought". Go for it give it a go. Have fun with it. See how manytimes you notice. Let me know.
